The Institute of Biophysics (CNR, Palermo, Italy), has organized a HBP country outreach event on 20th-25th February 2018 in Palermo. To pursue a possible collaboration, we also invited Dr. Michael Szollosy (from Tony Prescott’s Lab, Sheffield University, SP3) to participate in the event, which was hosted within the annual “EsperienzaInsegna 2018” exhibit.

***
The activities were articulated in two parts:
1) a series of 4 daily talks, during which Dr. Michele Migliore and his Lab presented the whole HBP project and how they are involved, followed by a “Question & Answer” time at the end of each talk.
2) a booth hosting people from Dr Migliore’s lab with a SP6 poster and dissemination material, and Dr. Szollosy with two “MiRo” Robots.

The presence of the Human Brain Project has catalyzed the attention of the approximately 6000 visitors (including schools, families, scientists, journalists, and curious citizens). It was a great success as a dissemination activity.
